What You Will Do

As an Line Service Mechanic 1, you will help support aircraft operations on the ramp and in the hangar. You will work closely with customers, flight crews, and maintenance teams to ensure aircraft are serviced safely and efficiently.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Meet arriving aircraft and guide them safely to parking locations
  • Greet customers and assist them in connecting with the appropriate Gulfstream personnel
  • Support flight crews and respond to aircraft service needs
  • Assist with aircraft fueling and defueling operations
  • Help move aircraft on the ramp and within hangars
  • Perform wing-walking, aircraft towing, parking, and ramp support activities
  • Assist with inspections and basic maintenance of ground support equipment, fuel trucks, and fuel facilities
  • Perform basic fuel quality control testing
  • Help maintain a safe and secure work environment
  • Support 5S and housekeeping activities throughout ramp areas
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve operations and communicate recommendations to leadership

 

What You Will Bring

  • Valid driver's license required
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and changing weather conditions
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate tow tugs, forklifts, fuel trucks, and other ground support equipment
  • Strong focus on safety and teamwork
  • Customer service mindset and willingness to assist others
  • Experience or familiarity with aircraft marshaling, ground movement, or signaling procedures preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. acceptable driving record, ability to work in extremes of hot/cold/wet weather. Aptitude for safety and effectively operating tow tugs, forklifts, fuel trucks and similar vehicles in a high traffic a/c ramp atmosphere. preferred. Experience or familiarity with aircraft ground movement and signaling procedures. Valid Driver’s License Upon Hire .

Position Purpose:

Assists with the movement of aircraft on, to and from the ramp and within the hangars, in support of customers, Service Center Maintenance and Final Phase. Support hangar operations by providing support of customer and visiting aircraft as required.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Meet arriving aircraft, direct aircraft to a parking location, and greet and assist customers in locating appropriate company personnel for customer contact. .
  2. Respond to all service needs of aircraft and flight crew.
  3. With moderate supervision perform duties related to the marshaling, fueling, defueling of aircraft and fuel trucks.
  4. Assist with the movement of aircraft on, to, and from the ramp and within the hangars .
  5. Assist in the inspection and maintenance of ground support equipment, the fuel farm and fuel trucks, according to established guidelines, to ensure safe and efficient operating conditions. .
  6. Assist with security of premises.
  7. Assist with ramp operations such as towing, fueling, wing-walking, directing and parking of aircraft, as necessary .
  8. Perform basic fuel quality control testing of fuel.
  9. Identify possible operational improvements and communicate them to management.

Additional Functions:
  1. Assist with hazardous waste disposal by delivering all hazmat generated to the waste treatment area. .
  2. Comply with the cleaning and maintaining of 5S for the ramp areas. .
  3. Comply with all safety rules and procedures. .

Perform other duties as assigned. This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
