This role is in St. Louis, local candidates will be preferred, relocation assistance is not available.

The compensation range for this role is $97,525.00  - $113,780.00 per year.

Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to: minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 4 years Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Engineering or related technical experience.

Position Purpose:

A leadership position that encompasses the day-to-day direction of Industrial Engineer I and II levels in planning, controlling, and execution of duties; serves as the group expert when that level of representation is needed. Responsible for the coordination of work activities and training of team members.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Conduct analysis with area Management to establish and maintain daily work activities.
  2. Conduct analysis with area Management, support staff and Material Control to design and maintain part presentation requirements and procedures. Coordinate across site to manage commonality of material handling and presentation processes.
  3. Identify equipment, machinery, and facilities acquisition including justifications, economic analysis, and project management through implementation.
  4. Development and maintain Tool Box requirements and contents to include tool control, FOD prevention measures tool requirements matched to area tasks.
  5. Apply 3D print capability to assist in resolution of technical issues (shop aids, Protect the Product, etc.). Lead implementation of additive manufacturing tools/techniques to further develop application production/post production environment.
  6. Provide business case analysis and recommendations in support of projects to include make/buy, MCR, Engineering Changes, Tooling requests.
  7. Support all Safety, Sustainability and Ergonomic initiatives.
  8. Implement plant layout, process flow, and material handling techniques.
  9. Support area management in generating orders/requests for Tooling including management tool priorities.
  10. Investigate, evaluate, and implement facilities expansions, department rearrangements, new technologies and manufacturing techniques, and employee suggestions.
  11. Where applicable, assume the duties of the area manager in his/her absence; advise and assist subordinates.
  12. Perform audit of co-workers output based on defined requirements and procedures. Must demonstrate knowledge of IE policies and procedures.
  13. Independently lead/coordinate the implementation of projects among multiple organizations.
  14. Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles/methods as a team member or leader.

Additional Functions:
  1. Develop and maintain work place methods and manpower requirements. .
  2. Assist in the training and development of entry-level industrial engineering personnel. .
  3. As required, aid in development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plan. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Proven knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles.
  2. Ability to influence across functional disciplines.
  3. Must be knowledgeable about Engineering configuration requirements, tooling, quality control, plant safety, blueprint reading, and shop math.
  4. Demonstrated ability to operate computerized equipment, such as personal computers, CATIA, etc.
  5. Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt, equivalent certification, or proven experience in a Lean Six-Sigma environment highly desirable.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
