As a UX Researcher at Gulfstream you will:
- Lead the development and execution of user research using quantitative and qualitative research methods to produce strategic and actionable insights that inform design and developers.
- Develop and maintain research documentation which include research plans, reports and presentations.
- Create sketches, wireframes and high-fidelity designs that capture user inputs and ensure everyone, from stakeholders to developers, are on the same page
- Work closely with the product team to identify problems, define objectives, propose, and plan research studies.
- Learn about user needs, pain points, expectations, and motivations to create a complete story of the customer, while developing an empathetic understanding of our users
- Facilitate and lead discovery sessions and large requirements gathering sessions
- Conduct usability studies, interviews, and provide insights on requirements definition
- Consolidate research findings into concise, meaningful documentation for User Experience and project teams
- Analyze and share research findings with stakeholders and leadership through written reports and/or in-person presentations
- Assist in writing acceptance criteria for user stories
Agile experience is a plus
Creating user stories and acceptance criteria is a plus
Excellent facilitation skills are a plus

- Gather user needs via design research methods.
- Communicate learnings and requirements to business colleagues.
- Generate ideas via sketches, mockups, and prototypes for testing with users.
- Research existing design patterns and best practices and apply to design problems.
- Critique and refine design ideas with UX team members.
- Create user tasks and conduct usability tests to evaluate concept directions.
- Create mockups and prototypes to communicate desired directions to development team members.
- Create final specs and assets for implementation.
- Work collaboratively with developers to create solutions that find a balance between business needs, usability, and development effort.
- Support and improve our existing portfolio of products.
- Using knowledge of research methodologies and design patterns, mentors junior staff on UX competencies. .
- Proactively identifies opportunities to improve existing methodologies, processes or other areas of performance. .
- Proactively communicates issues and status as required. .
- Experience working in teams.
- Experience with Agile Scrum development methodologies preferred.
- A portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills, and the ability to articulate your role on the projects it contains.
