As a UI/UX Design Lead, you’ll play a critical role in leading the design strategy and vision for our digital products, shaping the overall user experience and crafting intuitive and engaging interfaces that will revolutionize the way we connect our world. In this role you’ll collaborate with cutting-edge cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class user experiences. You’ll be responsible for leading the design process from concept to delivery, and you’ll guide and mentor a team of designers to ensure high-quality, consistent, and elevated design experiences.

- Motivates the team to drive for a cohesive end-to-end experiences.
- Drives cross-product team collaboration with Research, Product Designers, Developers and executive stakeholders.

- Create mockups and prototypes to communicate desired directions to development team members
- Create final specs and assets for implementation
- Work collaboratively with developers to relate solutions that find a balance between business needs, usability, and development effort.
- Support and improve our existing portfolio of products
- Partner with IT to manage roadmap and backlog for all digital products, ensuring that IT delivers capabilities on time and per expectation
- Oversee requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
- Partner with executive team to identify key capabilities needed as well as potential issues
- Partner regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
- Work with product marketing to develop positioning and messaging and ensure differentiation from competitors
- Monitor and evaluate product performance to facilitate continuous iteration and improvement
Additional functions:
- Proactively identifies opportunities to improve existing methodologies, processes, or other areas of performance.
- Proactively communicates issues and status as required
- Using knowledge of research methodologies and design patterns, mentors junior staff on UI/UX competencies.
- Presents design concepts to senior management when needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Unreal Engine proficiency.

- Works under consultative direction; uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives .
- Develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities .
- Conceives and plans investigation of broad areas of importance for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the program .
- Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum preferred.
- The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
