Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Tourism required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years accounting experience, preferably in Travel, with a minimum of two years held in a supervisory role.

Position Purpose:

Manages the operation of Gulfstreams travel program. This includes oversight of the third- party travel services provider, suppliers contract management, coordination with and participation in the General Dynamics Corporate Travel Committee, management of the corporate charge card programs, and supervision of the online booking, travel and expense reimbursement processing systems and Travel administration group.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Daily oversight, including all operational, service and reporting matters, of the contracted third- party travel services provider. This includes all matters of staffing, services, schedules, reporting metrics, on-line booking tool, agency contracts and budget performance .
  2. Supervisory responsibility over the travel and expense report processing group including staffing, training and development, and performance analysis .
  3. Responsible for the development, maintenance, communication and enforcement of the corporate travel and charge card policies and programs .
  4. Participate as a member of the GD corporate travel committee to assist with the development of negotiation strategies and vendor selection for corporate air, hotel, car, GDS, and travel/expense management software tool contracts .
  5. Management of the corporate charge card program including card approvals, company guaranteed cards, rebate management and problem resolution Maintains relationship with account representatives .
  6. Performs data analysis through various reports and metrics to continuously improve Gulfstream’s travel program .
  7. Reviews and analyzes financial data in a timely manner to support established month-end close schedules and deadlines. Compiles, analyzes, and reviews financial data .
  8. Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policies .
  9. Customer support outreach and partnering to strengthen Gulfstream’s travel program, tools, and traveler experience .
  10. Supports internal/external audits for Gulfstream travel activities .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Personal computer proficiency to include Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  2. Familiarity and experience with the travel Global Distribution System on-line booking tools, integrated expense management software and travel agency procedures.

A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
