Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in related field of study, including but not limited to, sustainable mgmt, environmental eng, or business admin required or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years experience in sustainability or environmental matters. Comprehensive knowledge of sustainability issues, statutes, regulations and drivers.

Position Purpose:

Promote sustainable work practices throughout the corporation in order to, reduce the environmental impact of operations, protect and conserve resource, and promote efficient work practices. Research best practices and share emerging concepts related to sustainable work practices. Develop and manage programs to engage employees in sustainability efforts at work and at home.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Serve as a technical resource and advisor on matters related to climate change/climate risk, water use, solid/hazardous waste, and energy consumption.

  2. Conduct informational meetings to engage employees in sustainability efforts.

  3. Develop and manage programs to engage employees in sustainability efforts at work and in the community.

  4. Collect data to be used in analyzing progress towards reducing environmental impact.

  5. Perform simple analysis of data to test the success of programs and efforts.

  6. Lead green teams.

  7. Develop communications materials to promote sustainable work processes.

Perform other duties as assigned.
