This is a Summer in-person internship opportunity from June to August 2025. Interviews will begin in May.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
1.    Research and write press releases and other materials for external audiences
2.    Assist with content research, creation and operational management for Gulfstream social media channels
3.    Assist with public relations/social media analytics and reports
4.    Design presentations, social media graphics and other digital materials utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite and working within established brand guidelines
5.    Copyedit and fact-check marketing collateral and other materials
6.    Assist with team administrative duties and others as assigned
 
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Education and training requirements:
•    Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree and above in English, journalism, public relations, communications or related field with a graduation date after August 2025
•    Cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher required
•    Junior level or above
•    Must have reliable transportation
•    Must work at least part time (20 hours a week) up to 40 hours a week for 12-14 weeks from start date
 
Experience and other requirements:
•    In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
•    Basic working knowledge of programs in the Adobe Creative Suite (namely Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier)
•    In-depth knowledge of AP Style
•    Knowledge of social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn), how they work and their respective functions; use of social media in a professional or academic setting is a plus
•    Must be willing to work independently or in teams
•    Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
•    Knowledge of photography and/or Adobe Creative Suite
