We are looking for students who are available for Summer 2024 for this internship opportunity. You must be able to work full time in-person for at least 12 weeks for Summer 2024.

• May/June 2023 - August/Septmber 2023
• Position will be posted until 10/27/2023. Interviews to start by late November 2023 - February 2024.

Engineering intern students at Gulfstream Aerospace in Innovation, Engineering and Flight are considered to be an integral part of the Engineering staff, and as such, are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.

We are looking for all levels of educational experience, from undergrad, masters and PHD candidates who are seeking professional expreience in an engineering environment.

This is a paid internship in Innovation, Engineering & Flight where we have amazing opportunities in engineering in areas such as flight sciences, stress, structures, lab test, systems, flight test, service, avionics, compliance, and so many more. If you want to gain professional experience and passionate about aviation and engineering, you will not be disappointed with the opportunities that we give interns across almost 40 different departments that support Innovation, Engineering, and Flight!

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides technical assistance to engineering staff and contributes by completing discrete engineering tasks on schedule.
2. Using company procedures, applies engineering knowledge to resolve aircraft related issues.
3. Miscellaneous technical test data generation and analysis.
4. Support of component and full-scale aircraft prototype and test activities during the lifecycle of Gulfstream products.
5. Interface with various internal organizations such as Production Engineering, Completions Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Product Support and Procurement as well as external suppliers.
6. Continues learning and developing knowledge of application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise.
7. Perfom other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

1. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following disciplines:
   1. Aerospace Engineering
   2. Mechanical Engineering
   3. Electrical Engineering
   4. Materials Engineering (Material Science)
   5. Computer Engineering
   6. Human Factors 
   7. Systems Engineering
   8. Industrial Engineering (Manufacturing)
   9. Industrial & Systems Engineering
   10. Civil Engineering
   11. Engineering
   12. Instrumentation Engineering
2. To be considered as an intern, Summer 2024 Applicants must plan to graduate from their current academic program any time after August 2024 or have plan to continue their education in the Summer (ie. bachelors to masters). Spring 2023 graduates will not be considered and should apply to full-time positions.
3. Minimum 3.0 cumulative gpa at the time of application is required and must be listed on the submitted resume. GPA must remain above a 3.0 through the Spring semester for Summer 2024 internship. Transcripts will be checked and we do not average transfer credits from one institution to another.
   1. If you are a freshman, please list your high school gpa.
   2. Resumes without a gpa will not be considered.
4. Ability to convey technical concepts in both written and verbal formats
5. Strong interpersonal skills
6. Display maturity and a high level of professionalism
7. Proven leadership skills on-campus or in a previous work atmosphere
8. Previous internship experience a plus
9. Must have reliable transportation to and from work for the duration of the internship
10. Must be available to work at least 12 weeks in-person during the months of May/June - August/September 2024.
