About Our Group and Role 

Our team supports the procurement supply chain organization in supplier contract negotiations. The position is a people manager role for our aircraft products and compliance teams. 


 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree business administration, finance, related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. J.D. preferred. 10 years contract negotiation and administration; an advanced degree may offset 2 years of the experience requirement.

Position Purpose:

Lead the Contract Managers in the performance of all required. responsibilities related to the identification, development, negotiation, and compliance of all Products, Services, and Product Support Sales contractual documents. Execute Agreements that are used to procure or sell materials, products, and services worth approximately $19 Billion in total value. In addition to leading the department, this position is recognized as a technical expert in the development, negotiation and administration of Agreements.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Working with the direction of the Director, define, develop and implement tactical priorities in support of the objectives and goals of the organization. Recommend, define, develop, implement and track metrics to monitor status toward achieving those goals and objectives.
  2. Define the Contract Management’s organizational responsibilities for providing contracting process and procedures consistent with Gulfstream’s strategy, policies and procedures, as well as operating objectives and sales goals.
  3. Ensure timely and consistent development and administration of all contractual ‘template’ documents, in coordination with the Legal department and in keeping with compliance criteria.
  4. Determine and communicate assignments for contract personnel. After agreement execution, ensure proper handoff to the personnel responsible for administrative of the agreement. The contract management group still has responsibility for contractual compliance to the agreement.
  5. Ensure completion of all projects assigned to contract personnel. Act as an advisor to department members to meet schedules, and to resolve technical and/or operational problems.
  6. Working with the Director and Finance, validate and administer departmental budgets.
  7. Coordinate, prepare, and submit all agreements and contractual related documentation in support of all agreements dealing with products, services and Product Support Sales.
  8. Recognize and resolve customer issues while assessing and balancing risk to the company.
  9. Maintain frequent and proactive contacts with other departments and customer representatives concerning operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarifications. Facilitate briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
  10. Proactively assist in developing and implementing new and/or improved policies and business practices to address changing internal and external contract and customer requirements.

Additional Functions:
  1. Ensure departmental development, implementation, and maintenance of accurate records and preparation of various metrics, reports and projections as required. .
  2. Ensure departmental support to and compliance with company or company supported audits. .
  3. Lead Contract Management reviews as requested to provide timely support, contract negotiation, and deliveries status to senior leaders as requested. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. 2 years supervisory experience of contract management/administration personnel, or equivalent combination of management and contract negotiation experience.
  2. Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) highly desirable.
  3. Experience in Aerospace industry is desirable.
