  • Serve as primary interface with suppliers, FAA, foreign regulators, and ODA.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, products, and supplier performance.
  • Develop staffing and budgeting plans to support organizational objectives.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s in Aviation Sciences, Quality Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years technical experience, including 4+ years in leadership.
  • Experience with aircraft certification, conformity, and type design interpretation.
  • Strong supplier‑quality, problem‑solving, and risk‑based oversight skills.
  • Knowledge of quality policies, process controls, 8D/5‑Why, and aerospace regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry systems.

Unique Skills:

Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting new aircraft developmental certification projects, aircraft level conformity projects, and ability to interpret type design data and technical requirements documents.  Ability to manage multiple project deliverables and coordination of cross functional teams to ensure success project completion.  Ability to communicate clear objectives and standardization of business processes related to aircraft conformity, aircraft configuration requirements.  Facilitates training and supports knowledge sharing on applicant conformity objectives. Manages a technical team and sets goals and objectives for assignments and clear deliverables.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in aviation sciences, quality systems or related field required or a combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 8 years experience in a technically related role (i.e. quality assurance/control, manufacturing operations and/or military operations) of which four (4) years are in a supervisory or management capacity.

Position Purpose:

Develop and implement quality strategies, procedures and policies to establish and maintain compliant Gulfstream quality assurance or inspection programs. Constantly assess and adapt concepts and practices to enhance the quality of the product, process and workplace. Provide managerial and technical oversight and effectively interact with regulatory and business partners to enhance and improve business and regulatory relationships.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Provide quality assurance management oversight for suppliers throughout the GAC product life cycle.
  2. Provide primary interface and issue resolution with suppliers, FAA, foreign regulatory personnel and ODA on relevant aspects of the Quality System (Production Certificate, Repair Station, etc.) to ensure privileges of the Production Certificate, Repair Station and Inspection AR certificates are maintained at the highest standard of partnership and cooperation.
  3. Establish a proactive continuous improvement culture.
  4. Define and implement actions to support new product or process development to include type certification, supplemental type certificate, production certificate, or repair station initiatives.
  5. Ensure compliance to all applicable federal, corporate, departmental and organizational policy requirements.
  6. Develop and manage the budgeting and staffing plans for assigned departments.
  7. Lead the professional growth of the entire Quality Organization by improving processes and personnel consistent with the Leadership Model.

Additional Functions:
  1. Participate and/or lead cross discipline events focused on improving the quality performance of suppliers .

Other Requirements:
  1. Participate and/or lead cross discipline events focused on improving the quality performance of suppliers.
  2. Ability to validate that suppliers have procedures in place to ensure effective closed loop corrective and preventive action is deployed as a result of audit/assessment findings.
  3. Ability to apply a structured process to review and verify that suppliers have adequate process controls to ensure the approvals granted to sub-tier suppliers match the products or services the supplier is providing.
  4. Ability to apply risk based oversight methods to supply chain.
  5. Aerospace industry experience preferred.
  6. Demonstrated experience working in manufacturing or with suppliers to overcome quality related issues and concerns.
  7. Proficient in computer programs/systems (Microsoft Office applications, etc.) as required. for the position.
  8. Thorough knowledge of quality policies, procedures, and all related technical data required.
  9. Knowledge of supplier management, knowledge of 8D/5-Why’s, or other problem solving methods.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
