What You’ll Do

  • Plan, schedule, and perform internal audits across the organization.
  • Review and approve corrective action plans to ensure long‑term issue prevention.
  • Prepare clear, evidence‑based audit reports.
  • Analyze audit data to identify trends and guide focused improvement.
  • Mentor Internal Auditor I team members and support training needs.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to support audit activities.
  • Develop and enhance procedures, workflows, and audit processes.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Sciences, Quality Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of progressive technical experience.
  • Audit experience required; aerospace experience required.
  • Working knowledge of CATIA, SmarTeam, Exalead AIR, SAP, Corridor, or Solumina.
  • AS9100:2015 knowledge required.
  • ASQ CQA, Lean Six Sigma, or CI certifications preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with quality systems and data tools.

Unique Skills:

Candidate must have audit experience, along with a working knowledge of CATIA, SmarTeam, Exalead Aircraft Information Retrieval (AIR), Systems, Application, and Products (SAP), Corridor, and / or Solumina. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools/certifications are also desirable for this position. 


 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems or related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 4 years technical related experience of continually increasing responsibility.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for scheduling and performing internal audits within the Enterprise. Mentors the Quality Internal Auditor I to ensure their development. Makes sure that audits conducted are to the procedural requirements. Monitors the audit process metrics to make sure that the audit process is effective and efficient. Performs analysis of data to provide the organization a more focus audit based on the where the current problems reside within the value stream. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and develops and promotes a good working relationship with local regulatory authorities. Ensures that effective and efficient quality audit results are delivered to our customers.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Review and approve Corrective Action Plans for audit findings making sure that these are robust and will prevent recurrence.
  2. Coordinates scheduling and manpower assignments to audits.
  3. Prepare audit reports and make sure that each finding is clearly stated and has identified the objective evidence in support of the finding.
  4. Able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  5. Actively identifies and completes process improvement projects related to achieving improved quality or efficiency within the internal audit process.
  6. Monitors workflow and progress and ensures that standards/expectations are met; assist Coordinators in resolving issues.
  7. Coordinates activity with other departments and/or disciplines in support of audits.
  8. Interprets and executes company policies and procedures; develops new procedures as required.
  9. Develops processes to identify, analyze and correct quality trends based on audit results.
  10. Promotes, encourages and leads employees towards a continuous improvement culture.
  11. Active in promoting a strong, healthy workforce through the utilization of the Corporate Ergonomist and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) resources.

Additional Functions:
  1. Prepares Quality audit team to meet future requirements through training and employee development activities. To include lead auditor training as well as product and process auditing techniques. .
  2. Supports and promotes the operating priorities as identified by the Quality leadership team. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. ASQ certification (CQA) preferred.
  2. Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
  3. Knowledgeable in AS9100:2015 Standard required.
  4. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of FAA regulations, CATIA and Solumina preferred.
  5. Thorough knowledge of quality policies, procedures and all related technical data required.
  6. Aerospace industry experience required.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  8. Knowledge of CMP, ASC, CB, ADs and other quality and manufacturing systems preferred.
  9. Proficient computer skills.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
