Note:  Lotus Notes experience and blueprint reading not required.


 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Aviation, or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years formal experience with regard to program and project planning, scheduling, and maintaining overall business analysis with demonstrated performance.

Position Purpose:

Under minimal supervision plan, manage and successfully implement enhancements, repairs, and modifications for Initial Phase, Final Phase and in-service fleet to improve fleet dispatch reliability and availability performance.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Create clear and concise performance reports, graphs and charts to report status to management on program scheduling issues, processes or initiatives. .
  2. Develop processes and procedures to optimize operational decision-making and performance to effect cost reductions .
  3. Develop and distribute Team notifications and other distributions to ensure solid communication of current and pending programs, modifications, etc.
  4. Work directly with the customer and cross site Managers to ensure applicable retrofits, modifications, repairs, and enhancements are in compliance .
  5. Conducts retrofit program meetings with suppliers, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Lean Six Reps, cross site Service, Final Phase Team Managers and Technical Operations.
  6. Create and administer retrofit program schedules, including mitigation plans for approved scheduling and maintenance efforts .
  7. Support Program Managers with In-Service Evaluations (ISE) for performance evaluations .
  8. Assist with creating and presenting retrofit program updates to RQAAT management .
  9. Assist with the development and population of retrofit management database (RMDS).
  10. Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Mid and Large Cabin managed programs.
  11. Responsible for oversight, tracking, and reporting financial details for assigned programs to ensure programs comply with budget, are on or under budge.

Additional Functions:
  1. Assist department management with reporting responsibilities. .
  2. Serves as a backup to Retrofit Specialist and supports Retrofit Program Managers with retrofit program reporting. .
  3. Coordinate with suppliers and cross functional support team to schedule and coordinate implementation of modifications, upgrades and improvements. .
  4. Support program related travel. .
  5. Required to be available to provide program support to customers during and after hours as needed. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Familiarity with aircraft system operations, FAA regulations and foreign certification requirements preferred.
  2. Ability to read and determine blue print instructions.
  3. Must possess general knowledge of Gulfstream aircraft systems operations/functions and customer support requirements.
  4. Must have a high level of computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Lotus Notes.
  5. Minimum four (4) years experience with major project/program planning with demonstrated performance.
  6. Demonstrates analytical and mathematical skills.
  7. Demonstrated knowledge of Production manufacturing and Final Phase build processes.
