Essential Job Functions:
Under limited supervision performs primarily CAE, CAM and PLM applications work with focus on electrical engineering design and manufacturing as a SME (Subject Matter Expert).
Works in collaboration with applications end users and other PLM/IT roles for tasks associated to software troubleshooting and enhancements.
In addition to general job requirements:
+5 years of experience using Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) and Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) applications.
+5 years of experience using CHS Engineering/Manufacturing environments
Experience as liaison between support groups like IT/PLM and applications end-users like engineering/manufacturing/operations during the implementation of new technology and systems troubleshooting.
Ability to organize priorities from different groups and Problem-solving skills in a fast paced working environment.
Ability to connect with multiple customers to understand and address their problem.
Team player, self-learner.

Job Description
- Executes plans, according to schedules, for engineering assignments.
- Responsible for engineering feasibility of CAD and PLM solutions for complex assignments or full project of minor complexity.
- Coordinates activities for lower level engineering staff assigned to specific projects.
- Actively works to improve daily processes, to ensure all CAD and PLM systems meet customer requirements.
- Analyzes user needs to determine engineering and product data requirements, CAD and PLM functional requirements, and perform analysis as well as process and data modeling to meet user needs.
- Recognizes discrepancies and/or problems with analysis, process mapping or system implementation results and works toward corrective action.
- Tailors CAD and PLM Applications functionality, to established requirements, policies and procedures.
- Develop system queries and utilities to support users information researches .
- Assists in the testing and implementation of new deployment or revisions to the CAD and PLM systems.
- Analyzes, monitor and report business and system status metrics.
- Responsible for producing Product Structure and Engineering Bill of Material for use in and production and QA.
- Responsible for the release of product definition data, change management and product configuration management activities.
- Ensures proper security, archiving and audibility of product releases.
- Recommend innovations to improve the quality, economy, and effectiveness of the company product.
- Proven computer literacy that includes PC Windows environment w/specific skills in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio & MS Project required.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, self motivated, and a general understanding of engineering/manufacturing data requirements and design tools.
- Minimum of 4 yrs configuration management experience.
- Experience with CAD and PDM tools (CATIA and ENOVIA LCA, VPM preferred).
- Previous experience with digital pre-assembly of product components (aerospace desirable).
- Experience in process mapping and other process improvement techniques is desirable.
- Familiarity with computer-aided design, manufacturing and product data management systems.
- Basic knowledge of design engineering and manufacturing engineering applications and processes.
