PDT Lead I - Supplier and Development MRB Liaison in  GAC Savannah

Unique Skills:

  • 5 years Systems/Component MRB experience on production, development, and flight test programs.
  • Prior experience with IPPS development, production, testing, and certification activities preferred.
  • Production MRB PQL authority in multiple engineering disciplines 


Individual will provide strategic oversight and tactical execution and implementation of highly integrated products into production environment. Role to include assisting supplier discrepancy process through GAC, supporting new product certification, retrofit efforts as well as production sustaining activities involving critical Supplier MRB processes. Responsibilities include proactively anticipating  product implementation hurdles and managing mitigation plans by providing technically sound dispositions, liaising with GAC Quality/Operations, and interfacing with design teams, suppliers, and MRB personnel. Near term projects to include NPD IPPS programs for FLC and AAP. 



Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Finance or related curriculum required. 10 years engineering experience to include at least 3 years program management experience consisting of any combination of supervisory experience or complex program management. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs PhD in fields applicable to job.

Position Purpose:

The IEF PDT Lead I is dedicated to a specific program or project group and manages specific functional activities within one or more engineering disciplines.

Position is responsible for the coordination, integration, and management of the specified functional activities required. to support program objectives, including but not exclusive to the development and certification of a derivative aircraft, changes to the same, entry into service, and sustaining support for a particular program or project group. This role is to be utilized by the IEF organization only.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Reports to functional director and is assigned to specific program or project group .
  2. Coordinates with chief project engineer to establish and communicate program goals, objectives and priorities .
  3. Coordinates with functional managers to provide the required. skillsets to support program objectives .
  4. Coordinates with functional managers and deployed technical staff to develop a resource loaded plan and integrated schedule to meet program objectives .
  5. Coordinates with other PDT leads to form small cross-functional, integrated teams to execute sub-projects, solve problems, or implement strategic initiatives aligned with higher level goals and objectives .
  6. Tracks and updates project plans and status .
  7. Identifies program barriers and risks and actively manages mitigation plans .
  8. Balances staff and skill mix with functional manager to meet both allocated budget and schedule targets .
  9. Collaborates with functional manager to provide performance feedback and development opportunities for deployed technical professionals assigned to the program or project .
  10. Demonstrates teamwork, ownership, technical rigor, agility, and learning while achieving results for the program and company .
