Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in business, science, aviation or a related technical curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 8 years business, process or auditing experience. Computer literate, word processing and spreadsheets. Experience writing technical reports and correspondence. Training in process improvement techniques/process audits is a plus.

Position Purpose:

As part of the Gulfstream Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) office, manage all of the ODA processes, tools, and audit related activities. These activities may be site specific or cross-site involving some or all Gulfstream certification and airworthiness organizations.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Lead the development and integration of strategic workflow for ODA policies, processes and work procedures. ODA processes include, FAA/ODA approval of aircraft designs, implementation of FAA policy and guidance changes, certification project imitation, notification, and closure, record control and retention, automated workflow management and document approval, Gulfstream ODA, Gulfstream, and FAA communications, management, creation, and control of ODA/FAA forms and templates. Assumes project management role in the development and maintenance of ODA electronic tools.
  2. Assumes lead facilitator role to teams of technical staff and other subject matter experts to understand ODA process requirements and improvement opportunities.
  3. Engage appropriate technical resources to develop corporate policies, procedures and strategies for complying with FAA and other certification authorities requirements. Coordinate/lead discussions with Gulfstream and FAA personnel up to the Vice president/Office Manager level.
  4. ODA point of contact for Gulfstream and FAA audit teams audits of ODA processes and technical specialists.
  5. Provide expertise in benchmarking activities to ensure ODA is aware of industry best practices.
  6. Sponsor/mentor work teams including cross-functional process improvement teams to develop ODA processes, procedures, and standards and ensure their implementation.
  7. Provide expertise and facilitate the development, deployment, and integration of all ODA electronic tools.
  8. Provides expertise, information, and proposed actions on ODA process and tools requirements and issues related to ODA activities.
  9. Establish mutually acceptable methods to meet schedules and budget requirements with the ODA Compliance Directors and the Vice-President/Lead Administrator for the ODA, QA, Directors/Managers, Customer Service Managers, Completion and Service Center operations, sales, management, and customers.
