About Our Group
We are a part of the Quality Assurance (QA) organization that ensures customer trust and satisfaction with the aircraft we build to ensure the aircraft is of and above standard before delivering to the customer. We support provide NDT support for production, completions, AAP, flight test operations, structural test labs, and procurement quality issues.
About the Role
It is preferred if the candidate has had formal training in the five NDT Methods (UT, ET, RT, PT, MT). Radiation safety training is nice to have. NDT Team members interact with many internal and external team members, and it is essential for the Associates to have effective communication skills.
Education and Experience Requirements
Job Description
- Under direct observation of Level 2 or 3 personnel, observe proper NDT inspection methodology to Gulfstream internal practices and procedures.
- Assist in recording inspection records in inspection logs, Solumina, SAP, or other inspection systems.
- Team support of NDT inspections performed within Gulfstream.
- Assist in the cleaning, maintenance and calibration of equipment.
- Assist in maintaining equipment inventory and assisting with 6S of the NDT areas.
- Assist in the interpretation of Engineering drawings/requirements and support Level 2 or Level 3’s in determination of inspection requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Assist in generating technical presentations utilizing sound computer skills.
- Must be available to work any shift. .
- Must be able to read a scale and perform basic shop math.Read and comprehend basic documents and instructions. Must have essential personal skills.Must demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices.Proficiency in current personal computer based software.Must be able to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds.
