This entry-level role is part of Supply Chain Engineering and helps connect Gulfstream engineering, suppliers, and procurement when technical issues affect purchased parts, tooling, or engineering changes. Your work will help turn engineering requirements into practical manufacturing solutions, improve how parts are produced, and support the quality and reliability expected of Gulfstream aircraft. 

You will learn from experienced engineers while building broad knowledge of aircraft components, suppliers, manufacturing methods, and the systems used to track and solve problems. What You Will Do 

• Serve as a technical link among Gulfstream engineering, suppliers, and procurement to help resolve manufacturing, tooling, and purchased-part issues. 

• Study current and proposed operations, then recommend practical manufacturing methods, tooling, equipment, production flow, and work sequences. 

• Create clear work and rework instructions that support efficient production and reduce opportunities for defects. 

• Build and maintain manufacturing bills of material and planning information in applicable Gulfstream systems so required parts are captured for assembly and installation. 

• Review engineering drawings and evaluate whether components and assemblies can be produced as designed. 

• Gather and analyze manufacturing information, develop tracking tools, and help create system-based remedies for recurring issues. 

• Support make-or-buy evaluations, corrective actions, quality improvements, and special projects with guidance from experienced engineers. 

• Apply Lean and Six Sigma thinking while supporting safety, sustainability, ergonomics, and business continuity efforts. 

What Success Looks Like 

• Within your first 90 days, you build relationships with key stakeholders and begin to understand what drives their decisions. 

• You develop working knowledge of Gulfstream's broad supplier base, aircraft components, and supply chain engineering processes. 

• You contribute to projects under the guidance of experienced Supply Chain Engineers and follow through on assigned work. 

• Your instructions, planning details, tracking tools, and system updates are accurate, clear, and useful to the people doing the work. 

• You ask thoughtful questions, investigate problems carefully, and use data and engineering judgment to recommend practical next steps. 

• You work across teams with respect and reliability while keeping quality, safety, and continuous improvement at the center of your decisions. 

What You Will Bring 

Required 

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that prepares you to perform the work. 

• Entry-level engineering capability. Fall 2026 graduates will be considered.  Degree must be completed before the start date. 

• Foundational knowledge of engineering configuration requirements, tooling, quality control, plant safety, blueprint reading, and shop math. 

• Ability to use computers and engineering applications such as CADAM or CATIA, as applicable to the work. 

• Basic knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles. 

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. 

Preferred 

• General aerospace knowledge and familiarity with component manufacturing and tooling methods. 

• Exposure to continuous improvement methods or Six Sigma training. 

• Lean Specialist certification or a higher-level Lean certification.
