Role Summary
Accountable for delivering AI and Machine Learning capabilities that create measurable business value and operate responsibly at enterprise scale.
Unique Duties
- Own accountability for enterprise AI and ML delivery outcomes, from intake through production and operational use.
- Lead teams responsible for AI, ML, and automation solutions, ensuring consistent delivery practices and prioritization.
- Establish and oversee AI delivery and governance frameworks appropriate for enterprise use.
- Translate business demand into well‑defined AI initiatives with clear value, risk, and delivery expectations.
- Ensure AI solutions are delivered responsibly by partnering with Legal, Security, and Data leaders.
- Oversee evaluation and adoption of AI tools and vendors to avoid duplication and unmanaged risk.
- Measure, communicate, and improve AI delivery effectiveness and business impact.
- Coordinate closely with Cloud and Data leaders to ensure AI solutions align with platform capabilities, data strategy, and enterprise architecture.
- Maintain hands‑on involvement that may include writing and reviewing AI/ML and automation code to inform architectural decisions, mentor teams, and ensure delivery approaches are grounded in real implementation experience.

- Provides technical and work direction to the applications team in support of day-to-day operations.
- Assists in defining and implementing applications development processes, tools and methodologies in order to maximize applications efficiency and effectiveness.
- Performs resource planning to ensure all active projects are staffed and completed successfully.
- Consults with business unit management and reviews IT proposals to determine goals, timeline, budget, procedures, staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
- Provides oversight on break-fix initiatives and the resources assigned to support same through successful completion.
- Develops comprehensive plans and communication documentation to support IT business goals and key initiatives.
- Ensures applications processes are followed consistently and are in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, etc.
- Supervises all team members and provides performance feedback for team members and assigned contractors. .
- Interacts across various functional areas and departments to ensure clear communications and that bi-directional expectations are understood and documented.
- Certifies applications deliverables as meeting requirements prior to transitioning to customer environment. .
- May be called upon to serve as Project Manager in support of significant projects within their assigned functional area. .
- Proactively identifies opportunities to improve existing methodologies, processes or other areas of service delivery performance. .
- Builds, fosters and promotes positive relationships among the applications team and key stakeholders. .
- One (1) year in a leadership role within an IT environment or business area function(s).
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Project Management (PMP) certifications are desired.
- Expert knowledge in current software development methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency with MS Project and Excel.
- A Masters degree may be used to offset one year of experience; PhD may offset two years of experience.
