Manager, Infrastructure Project Management

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or technology related field preferred. 6 years experience in project management to include two (2) years of experience managing professional level employees or medium to large, cross-functional teams or projects.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for the guidance of the PMO, establishing policies and procedures for the organization, ensuring adherence to standards, and overall delivery of solution deployments for the business.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Provide strategic leadership and guidance of the Project Management group.
2. Align project management resources across the project portfolio based on priority and risk.
3. Ensure adherence to policies, processes, governance standards, and leading practice by project managers.
4. Management and implementation leadership.
5. Identify opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
6. Hire, lead and manage capable, energetic, passionate project managers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

1. Extensive knowledge of project management leading practices and methodologies.
2. Project Management certification.
3. Good understanding of project portfolio management, project funding and project management across projects.
4. Collaboration and decision making skills.
5. Soft skills and technical skills that contribute to client satisfaction.
6. Negotiation skills.
7. Good understanding of corporate IT policies, procedures and standards.
