Job Description
- Develop hours and cost estimates for customer interior specifications, based on an analysis of the baseline quote for the configuration, as updated for customer selections of options, selections and customization, as defined in the specification and design documents. Develop pricing proposals and work with completion sales executives establish agreed upon final pricing and chargeable items for presentation to the customer.
- Administer Work Change Request activity on customer aircraft in work, and provide an estimated cost and sell which is submitted to the customer for approval as a change to the aircraft specification, as well as impact on schedule and weight. Maintain logs of WCRs accepted versus declined, used in determining final invoicing to customer.
- Periodically update baseline configuration for changes in content, impact of engineering, materials or operations actions to change processes or materials, and impact on cost and pricing. Identify potential cost saving via vendor outsourcing and lead business case analysis by aircraft for work to be outsourced, for presentation to completion center management.
- Establish and maintain a master database of avionics, electrical, and interior parts and labor hour estimates for interior specification task statements.
- Log and track quote adjustments.
- Prepare analyses of aircraft content changes, either between aircraft baseline updates, or baseline configuration and aircraft as specified to support ongoing performance measurement. Additionally, prepare status reports, schedules, estimates, and financial analysis as required. and attend management meetings to support those items.
- Maintain accurate and traceable records for changes in customer selections, impacts etc. Utilize electronic source data (such as quote baselines, engineering drawings, downloads from engineering and cost accumulation systems to streamline processes for developing quotes.
- Train new employees. .
- Maintain constant awareness of build processes and technology for incorporation into baseline quotes. .
- Participate/support Final Phase team to analyze potential changes to baseline packages and prepare business cases as needed. .
- Must possess strong analytical skills and problem resolution skills. Must be able to lead cost saving initiative teams.
- Strong oral and written communication, planning and organizational skills required.
