We are looking for students who are available for Spring 2022 or Summer 2022 for this internship opportunity. You must be able to work full time (14-16 weeks for Spring 2022 and 12 weeks for Summer 2022).

  • Start Date for Spring 2022 - January - February 2022
  • Start Date for Summer 2022 - May - June 2022


Engineering intern students at Gulfstream Aerospace in Innovation, Engineering and Flight are considered to be an integral part of the Engineering staff, and as such, are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.


We are looking for all levels of educational experience, from undergrad, masters and PHD candidates who are seeking professional expreience in an engineering environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides technical assistance to engineering staff and contributes by completing discrete engineering tasks on schedule.
  2. Using company procedures, applies engineering knowledge to resolve aircraft related issues.
  3. Miscellaneous technical test data generation and analysis.
  4. Support of component and full-scale aircraft prototype and test activities during the lifecycle of Gulfstream products.
  5. Interface with various internal organizations such as Production Engineering, Completions Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Product Support and Procurement as well as external suppliers.
  6. Continues learning and developing knowledge of application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise.
  7. Perfom other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following disciplines:
    1. Aerospace Engineering
    2. Mechanical Engineering
    3. Electrical Engineering
    4. Materials Engineering
    5. Computer Engineering
    6. Human Factors Engineering/Human Factors
    7. Systems Engineering
    8. Industrial Engineering
    9. Industrial & Systems Engineering
    10. Civil Engineering
    11. Computer Science
    12. Process Engineering
    13. Information Technology
    14. Aviation
    15. Engineering
    16. Instrumentation Engineering
  2. To be considered as an intern, Spring 2022 Applicants must plan to graduate from their current academic program any time after May 2022 or have plan to continue their education in the Summer (ie. bachelors to masters). Fall 2021 graduates will not be considered and should apply to full-time positions. Summer 2022 Applicants must plan to graduate from their current academic program any time after August 2022 or have plan to continue their education in the Fall (ie. bachelors to masters). Spring 2022 graduates will not be considered and should apply to full-time positions.
  3. Minimum 3.0 cumulative gpa at the time of application is required and must be listed on the submitted resume. GPA must remain above a 3.0 through the Fall semester for Spring 2022 internship, and through the Spring semester for Summer 2022 internship. Transcripts will be checked and we do not average transfer credits from one institution to another.
    1. If you are a freshman, please list your high school gpa.
    2. Resumes without a gpa will not be considered.
  4. Ability to convey technical concepts in both written and verbal formats
  5. Strong interpersonal skills
  6. Display maturity and a high level of professionalism
  7. Proven leadership skills on-campus or in a previous work atmosphere
  8. Previous internship experience a plus
  9. Must have reliable transportation to and from work for the duration of the internship
  10. Must be available to work at least 14-16 weeks during the months of January - May 2022 for Spring 2022 internship, or 12 weeks during the months of May through September 2022 for Summer internship
Must have completed Freshman year of college and be actively enrolled pursuing a degree in a 4-year accredited university. Able to work 16 – 40 hours during the Spring and Fall semesters, and typically 40 hours during the Summer semester.
