As an Agile Project Manager/Scrum Master you will coach members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency of the project team. This role is for someone who has creative approach to problem-solving.

  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies is required.
  • Experience with enterprise-level application development projects is desired.
  • Agile Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master, Advanced Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Product Owner are a plus
  • Solid understanding of Agile Project Management tools such as Azure DevOps is desired

We are looking for a hands-on, talented individual, who is passionate about lean and agile and lives scrum principles. As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for:

  • Educate teams and conduct scrum events thoroughly by “breathing” the five Scrum Values: Focus, Openness, Courage, Respect, Commitment.
  • Improve the team’s performance and effectiveness, show how to scale in the teams and cross teams and share this scalability progress with others.
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments.
  • Encourage teams and organization on how to get the most out of self-organization and empowerment
  • Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work but rather with team discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Create boards/dashboards to help drive insights and structure.


 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years of experience within IT or other relevant business disciplines. Master's Degree may be used to offset one (1) year of experience; PhD may offset two (2) years of experience.

Position Purpose:

This is a project management role within the Gulfstream Business Technology organization. Responsible for planning and executing projects according to Business Technology and business requirements. Scope of work includes project objectives, scheduling / planning, resource loading & estimation, budget, execution coordination, project metrics, and management presentations to ensure quality control throughout the project life cycle.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (SDLC).

  2. Ensures applications processes are followed consistently and are in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, etc.

  3. Develops, maintains, and monitors master project schedule.

  4. Plan and manage cutover activities during any new project or sustaining deployment.

  5. Assists in the preparation and review of Statements of Work (SOW) describing project scope, deliverables, assumptions, and estimated costs. Ensures the SOW meets the expectations of the business.

  6. Assists with the development of work breakdown structures, project plans, and skills required. to develop and implement applications.

  7. Manages scope change requests and quality reviews.

  8. Manages small projects under general supervision using standard project management protocols.

Additional Functions:
  1. Consults with business unit management and reviews proposals to determine goals, timeline, budget, procedures, staffing requirements and assignment of resources. .

  2. Excellent presentation design and delivery skills. .

  3. Ability to lead/facilitate cross-functional teams and meetings. .

  4. Participates in design reviews for implementation projects. .

  5. Analyzes and evaluates results of project activities before preparing recommendations for changes and compilation of necessary reports. .

  6. Demonstrated competence in risk management, issue tracking, change management and requirements gathering. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Proficiency with Project Management Tools.

  2. Specific and in-depth expertise in one or more complex enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, PLM).

  3. Certified Project Manager (CPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgM), and / or Scrum Master certification preferred.

A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
