- Make authoritative technical decisions and recommendations through application of human factors principles when engineering precedents may be limited.

Lead complex trade studies and present human factors design recommendations to multidisciplinary design teams and upper management.

Supervise part-task simulation evaluations for detailed design requirement definition using software, physical mockups, and predictive modeling tools.

Develop and execute part-task, simulator, and flight test evaluations to assess workload, usability, operational performance, and human-system integration.

Oversee application of appropriate data analysis methods, including descriptive and inferential statistics, and communicate findings to program stakeholders.

Develop and execute part-task, simulator, and flight test evaluations to assess workload, usability, operational performance, and human-system integration.

Supervise operational testing and compliance activities supporting Human Factors certification requirements and prepare substantiating engineering reports.

Develop and supervise human error analysis worksheets to substantiate Human Factors certification compliance.

Lead multidisciplinary teams in the analysis of complex system designs and development of integrated solutions using analytical and predictive methodologies.

Conceive, plan, and conduct investigations in areas of significant technical importance where engineering precedent is limited or unavailable.

Research, evaluate, integrate, and develop innovative Human Factors methods and technologies to improve future product development and engineering processes.

Serve as a technical authority and advisor to management, customers, suppliers, and engineering teams on advanced Human Factors topics.

Provide formal and informal mentoring including review of methods, assumptions, test plans, and technical conclusions.

Represent Gulfstream on industry committees or organizations supporting development of design guidance, standards, and certification regulations.
Required Skills and Abilities:
-
Advanced aviation/aerospace Human Factors engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership on complex development programs.
-
Extensive experience planning, executing, and overseeing Human Factors activities including evaluations involving human subjects, part-task simulations, simulator testing, and/or flight testing.
-
Demonstrated expertise applying advanced Human Factors principles and methodologies to solve complex system integration and certification challenges.
-
Experience applying descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques and utilizing statistical software tools (e.g., SPSS, Minitab, JMP, or equivalent).
-
Experience leading major engineering efforts and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to achieve technical, cost, schedule, and certification objectives.
-
Ability to work under consultative direction with minimal supervision while exercising broad latitude in defining technical objectives and approaches.
-
Proven ability to make technical decisions and recommendations recognized as authoritative by peers, management, and program teams.
-
Ability to anticipate, evaluate, and resolve highly complex technical issues through innovative and practical engineering solutions.

Ability to provide technical direction, oversight, and mentoring to engineering staff and cross-functional teams.

Strong program planning and organizational skills with demonstrated success managing risks and delivering technical results.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

Expertise in advanced task analysis methods, human error analysis, predictive workload assessments, and operational performance evaluation techniques

Experience developing Human Factors certification strategies and working directly with certification authorities

Experience with biomechanics, strength modeling, and time study methodologies

Experience with anthropometric modeling and simulation tools such as CATIA Human Builder, NX Jack, 3DSSPP, OPTIS SPEOS, or similar applications

Experience with process simulation modeling

Experience developing engineering standards, procedures, and guidelines
-
Experience mentoring across multiple levels of the organization
-
Experience with requirements and configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS)
-
Lean Six Sigma training, certification, or practical application experience

Pilot certification and/or operational flying experience (e.g., PPL, CPL, ATP)

Demonstrated involvement with industry standards organizations, regulatory committees, or technical working groups

- Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum preferred.
