Roles and Responsibilities: 

Propulsion engineers produce all engine performance data for the company, including steady state performance, engine transient modeling, engine starting, inlet distortion, inlet recovery, nozzle performance, and thrust reverser performance. Propulsion analysis is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements pertaining to engine performance. Propulsion engineers collaborate with engineers from powerplant, avionics, aircraft performance, and flight dynamics to ensure proper engine integration into the aircraft.

  • Propulsion
  • Gas Dynamics
  • Aerodynamics
  • Turbomachinery/Compressor design

Preferred Tools/Skills:

  • NPSS
  • Axstream
  • Nastran

Preferred Coding languages:

  • Matlab
  • Python
  • VBA

Preferred year:

  • Junior, Senior, and PhD students

Internship Requirements: 

1. Must be actively pursuing a degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering disciplines
2. Graduating on or after December 2024
3. Be able to do work at least 40 hours during August/September - December 2025.
4. Have reliable transportation
5. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
