Fall 2024 - Engineering Safety management & Continued Operation Safety Intern  in  GAC Savannah


Unique Skills:

This is a Fall in person internship from August/September to December 2024. Must be able to work full time 40 hours a week for at least 14 weeks. 

 

This position will be posted until 3/31/2024, and interviews will be from April - June 2024,

  • Skills: Skills: aviation hazard identification, causal investigations, risk assessment methodologies, and/or accident investigations.  Data analytical methodologies, data visualization, relational databases, Data modeling, storytelling using data

Engineering intern students at Gulfstream Aerospace in Innovation, Engineering and Flight are considered to be an integral part of the Engineering staff, and as such, are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.

 

We are looking for all levels of educational experience, from undergrad, masters and PhD candidates who are seeking professional experience in an engineering environment. Students are highly encouraged to indicate on their resumes an interest in Aviation safety and indicate specific coursework and/or projects applicable to this field of study/interest.

Education and Experience Requirements

  1. Must be actively pursuing degree in Aviation, Accident Investigation, Aviation Safety, Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Analytics/Business Analytics or related degree. 
  2. To be considered as an intern, applicants must plan to graduate from their current academic program any time on or after December 2024 or have plan to continue their education in the Spring (ie. bachelors to masters). Summer graduates will not be considered and should apply to full-time positions. 
  3. Minimum 3.0 cumulative gpa at the time of application is required and must be listed on the submitted resume. GPA must remain above a 3.0 through the Summer semester for Fall 2024 internship. Transcripts will be checked and we do not average transfer credits from one institution to another.
    1. If you are a freshman, please list your high school gpa.
  4. Ability to convey technical concepts in both written and verbal formats
  5. Strong interpersonal skills
  6. Display maturity and a high level of professionalism
  7. Proven leadership skills on-campus or in a previous work atmosphere
  8. Previous internship experience a plus
  9. Must have reliable transportation to and from work for the duration of the internship
  10. Must be available to work full time 40 hours a week during the months of August/September to December 2024
