Preferred Candidates:

  • Currently enrolled or able to enroll at Savannah Technical College in a relevant technical program is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working at Gulfstream Aerospace is highly desirable.


 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. Entry level position.

Position Purpose:

The Apprentice Equipment Maintenance Tech works along side higher level employees to learn electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems for troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades and preventative maintenance to all aircraft related production equipment. The Apprentice will participate in concurrent study at a technical school to supplement their skills and knowledge obtained in role, with the goal of developing into a fully proficient Equipment Maintenance Technician.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Works directly with machine operators to learn basic functionality and operations of all aircraft related production equipment.
  2. Assists with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical failures of operational equipment and apply corrective action to resolve re-occurring issues.
  3. Performs Preventive Maintenance and assigned repairs with close guidance and direction.
  4. Assists in performing repairs and corrective maintenance to equipment with a high degree of quality and reliability so that the equipment is capable of operating within the required. specifications.
  5. Daily input of required. data in CMMS system for machine reliability and control.

Additional Functions:
  1. Participates in all OEM training activities as required. by area of assignment. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Must be eligible to enroll at designated technical school.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
