Engineering Manager - Advance Cabin Design in  GAC Savannah

Unique Skills:

The Manager of Advance Cabin Design will help to forge new experiences in the cabin design that will allow the cabin to be more predictive than ever before. This role will help manage a wide range of talented individuals who are passionate about Gulfstream. Along with practical knowledge of software and hardware components that drive that next level experience, they should have excellent impersonal skills to help the team strive for success. Being part of the R&D team this is very much a hands on role and will be responsible to deliver full working protypes that will simulate our Gulfstream experience. This role will also be the driver for technology and integration and should have a passion for innovation. This will be a great opportunity to drive the next level product into existence.  Delivering creative solutions while managing internal and external customers, along with developing and maintaining schedules. Good knowledge of certification and testing procedures will be required as well. 



Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. 13 years applicable Engineering experience to include at least 5 years supervisory or broad managerial experience. Experience credit will be considered for related advance degrees limited to 2 years for Master's or 4 years with PhD in fields applicable to this job.

Position Purpose:

Establishes requirements, operational objectives and work plans for an important segment of engineering programs. Manages activities through subordinate supervisors and exercises full oversight of priorities, cost, methods and staffing.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Ensures that budgets, schedules, and performance standards are aligned with the business units objectives and are realistically set and attained .
  2. Conducts personnel evaluations and makes decisions regarding staffing, performance appraisals, counseling, and training of employees .
  3. Responsible for the development and execution of strategic long-term goals of the organization utilizing detailed functional expertise and broad company knowledge .
  4. Conducts briefings for senior level management, and conducts technical meetings for internal/external contacts and customers .
  5. Builds positive inter-organizational working relationships that improve performance with key customers .
  6. Directs establishment of facilities and equipment necessary to meet current and future requirements of the functional engineering area .

Additional Functions:
  1. Responsible for developing, modifying and executing company polices that affect immediate operation .

Perform other duties as assigned.
