Electrical Design Quality Engineer, Completions - Technical Specialist I in  GAC Savannah


Unique Skills:

DUTIES: Review Capital Logic (Wiring Diagram) and Capital XC (Harness) engineering at high quality standards. Support engineering milestones toward successful interior STC project achievement. Perform TVSA Analysis to ensure flight safety and FAA standards towards successful interior STC project achievement. Contribute or lead process improvement projects for the team to automate data integrity checks of wiring diagram functionality and connectivity between devices, ensuring FAA regulatory requirements and customer specifications are met. Contribute or lead process improvement projects for the team to automate data integrity checks of harness manufacturability and meeting of FAA regulatory requirements. Participate in bi-weekly technical meetings with local and cross-site teams. Participate in technical discussions to develop data integrity methods and standards, as well as to share best practice methods to improve product quality and the meeting of FAA standards. Assist with the planning, coordination, performance of design, analysis, and liaison engineering supporting the development and production of company products and services. Contribute to the planning, developing, and coordinating of important engineering projects. Provide specialized technical assistance to team members. Use advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Determine and develop own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives. Work under limited supervision, requiring work to only be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives. Act as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field required. Ten years of experience in aerospace electrical engineering required, including any experience with: CATIA V5, Mentor Graphics Capital Harness systems, SmarTeam, AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and Power Point.

 

Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 ys in specific technical discipline or 10 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.

  2. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product .

Other Requirements:
  1. Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred.
  2. The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
