Dynamic Loads and Flutter Engineer - TS I in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
As a Technical Specialist II in Dynamic Loads and Flutter, your responsibilities may include:
• Performing aircraft flutter analysis for nominal, parametric, failure and repair scenarios.
• Assessing aircraft repairs and modifications for flutter impacts.
• Generating and analyzing aircraft structural dynamic responses and corresponding load distributions for tuned and continuous gust conditions.
• Documenting completed analysis and findings in engineering reports for aircraft certification.
• Supporting relevant customer interfaces including Flight Dynamics, Structures, Mass Properties, Flight Control Systems, Flight Test & Certification groups.
• Collaborating with internal & external customers on technical matters
What you'll bring to the team:
• General knowledge of aircraft aeroelasticity principles and concepts
• General knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 requirements and certification
• Experience in aircraft structural dynamics modeling and analysis
• Prior experience with MSC Nastran and Patran
• Knowledge and experience with Matlab and/or Python for analytical and post test data processing
• Knowledge and experience with Linux
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
Additional Desired Skills and Experience:
• Advanced degree in Aerospace or related Engineering
• Knowledge and experience with engine fan blade out and windmilling dynamic analysis
• Experience with aeroservoelasticity
• Knowledge and experience with commercial or NASA CFD analysis toolsets
• Experience with software development and version control software
• Experience with fly-by-wire aircraft
• Experience with preparation for and execution of aircraft-level certification ground and flight tests

- The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
