Corporate SMS Investigation Specialist in  GAC Savannah

Preferred skills

Assisted with aviation accident/incident investigations.

Experience/training in managing an aviation accident/incident investigation in Q-Pulse.

Experience creating and briefing accident/incident briefings for safety oversight boards.

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree related field required or an equivalent combination of education and professionally related experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Entry level.

Position Purpose:

Conducts Corporate SMS investigations under the direction of the Corporate SMS Investigation Manager. Follows Gulfstream SMS investigation corporate policies and the SMS Event Management Process.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Complies with applicable laws and regulations, corporate policies and procedures .

  2. Conducts investigations involving product damage .

  3. Conducts witness interviews using cognitive interviewing process .

  4. Reports findings, root cause, and recommends preventive strategies using approved SMS investigation methods .

  5. Provides timely and reliable investigation outcome briefings to SAG/SSRC, and if required, ERT .

  6. Assists in the delivery of investigation training HF030, HF023, HF017 .

  7. Assists in the development of employee communication, training, and program advertising initiatives .

  8. Sets the appropriate example for other employees regarding safety professionalism and safety culture values .

  9. Maintains proficiency with software used in SMS investigation (for example, Q-Pulse) .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Proficiency with Q-Pulse and Microsoft Office.
