Job Description
- Collaborate with functional area management and end-users to develop and document detailed business requirements.
- Assist in the creation of Business Tools based on business needs and current information infrastructure.
- Work with Business Unit & BTC Teams to establish business requirements into reporting specifications, including user interfaces, inputs, input validation rules, processing logic and outputs.
- Define the Business Utility interface requirements with Legacy Systems and IT databases (EDW, BUAD, BW, etc..).
- Monitor report and utility failures and develop recovery processes and procedures.
- Create all documentation necessary to the proper use of the application: user guides, operating procedures, etc.
- Assist end-users with the day-to-day use of the reports and ensure that operating procedures are communicated, understood and complied with.
- Investigate end-user issues and provide detailed documentation to help troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner .
- Keep abreast of new system database technologies and data extraction techniques and practices. Make recommendations as appropriate.
- Support the development of reports with analytical processing systems, such as BOBJ, SQL, COGNOS, etc.. .
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and databases, data extraction techniques and applications, and data reporting/analysis tools & techniques leveraging databases.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
