Application Development Specialist in GAC Savannah

Primary job functions:
- Database development and maintenance
- J2EE development and maintenance
- Service and interface development and maintenance
- Managing work using SCRUM or AGILE processes
- Source control using GIT
- Administer application servers

- WebSphere, Tomcat
- XML, JSON and web services
- InelliJ and Eclipse
- HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery
- Azure DevOps and Git

Education and Experience Requirements
Job Description
- Creates plans according to schedules and assignments, and acts independently to carry them out.
- Assures that solution designs meet requirements for scalability, performance and quality in accordance with negotiated service level agreements. Drives decisions related to architecture and design.
- Delegates tasks and/or responsibilities to team members for action according to their level of experience and assigned accountability.
- Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (SDLC).
- Ensures applications processes are followed consistently and are in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, etc.
- Experience in conducting testing including design and execution of test cases.
- Performs work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading ERP applications and processes. Responsible for tasks related to the development and deployment of systems, methodologies, standards and processes that result in the ability to create and manage the ERP solution.
- Documents, develops, tests, deploys, and supports application code in support of business requirements.
- Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings concerning specific projects or other activities. .
- Ability to lead/facilitate cross-functional teams and meetings. .
- Serves as technical expert in one or more applications within a portfolio. .
- A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer. .
- Demonstrates innovation, foresight and mature IT architectural judgment in anticipating and solving complex IT architectural problems. .
