Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, Aviation Maintenance or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job

. 3 years related experience in an aviation, engineering or operations role. 3 years People management experience with accountability and ownership of employee relations activities, including writing and delivering performance reviews, making hiring and termination recommendations, making compensation recommendations, driving employee development, etc. Master's Degree in related curriculum may offset 2 years of related experience and 2 years of people management experience requirement.

Position Purpose:

Manages the strategic operations of teams to meet customer requirements & FAA regulations. Span of control targeted at 5-10 teams within Compls org. Interacts with internal and external customers. Seeks process and performance improvements. Accountable for maintaining the engagement of the team by establishing environment of collaboration, creating a culture of development where employees are supported in seeking growth opportunities, & guiding team to high quality performance.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Ensure accurate and meaningful communication flow between leadership and team to ensure alignment .
  2. Delivery timely Progressive Counseling when necessary to maintain safety, compliance, & appropriate behavior amongst team .
  3. Conduct regular contribution and development discussions (end-of-year and 1:1) and supports development investment for all team members .
  4. Establish & cascade departmental goals aligned with organizational goals .
  5. Ensures all work is completed in an efficient and timely manner that prioritizes requirements for safety and quality at the highest level .
  6. Responsible for the Compls outfitting of the aircraft to ensure all applicable ASCs, ADs, SBs & GAC Quality Alerts are complied with prior to delivery .
  7. Ensure Aircraft is complete & ready for delivery process to include but not limited to Exterior Paint inspection, Ground inspection and Customer Acceptance flight(s) .
  8. Establishes key delivery milestones & requirements for timely delivery & successful Entry-into-Service .
  9. Lead company Cold Soak test flights to ensure compliance with the Buyer-Approved Completion Package and fit, finish and functionality are in accordance with regulatory requirements and GAC standard for quality .
  10. Participate in customer delivery ceremony for owner (L1) & assigned team to create & commemorate exceptional completion and delivery experience .
  11. Provides GAC Sr management with formal continuous communication for each assigned compls project .
  12. Develop and execute business unit strategic plans to ensure budget, product cost, productivity, inventory levels, delivery performance and quality objectives/expectations and operational goals are met throughout dept(s) .
  13. Develops, maintains, and meets or exceeds requirements for a safe work environment; ensure stringent housekeeping, 5S standards, EHS requirements, and safety procedures and practices are followed; ensure tools/equipment meet safety requirements; lead trend and root cause analysis and accident investigations .
  14. Current working knowledge of applicable FAA, EASA, CAAC and other civil aviation authority regulations & certification requirements; familiarity with international certification requirements as applicable to aircraft outfitting .

Additional Functions:
  1. Models and reinforces safety and quality as priority .
  2. Execute pay planning for team .
  3. Hires and onboards new team members to support overall success in organization .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft applications.
  2. Able to support customer needs during normal working hours & after (nights weekends and holidays).
