Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field required. equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master's Degree In a related field preferred. required. 10 years Manufacturing/materials experience. Comprehensive knowledge of materials management and supply chain to include material planning, vendor managed inventory, production control, warehousing, shipping/receiving and/or other materials areas. Including (5) years of supervisory experience.

Position Purpose:

Oversee the quality, budget and schedule performance of the assigned Materials organization in Mexicali. Management of inventory, maintenance of systems, production scheduling, and/or shop floor control in support of an efficient execution of the production plan.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Has accountability for the performance and results of assigned function.
  2. Executes departmental plans, including business, production, operational and/or organizational priorities.
  3. Oversees Production Planning and/or inventory control .
  4. Monitors progress, compliance, attitudes, and other performance factors of the assigned function, initiates studies to determine cause of deficiencies, implement corrective actions and proves changes.
  5. Monitors and keep leadership informed of the status of plans, programs, processes of changing conditions, attitudes and requirements in the workplace and unusual problems, accomplishments which could impact inventory levels.
  6. Coordinates resources of multiple projects to ensure alignment and efficiency, monitors progress and directs others to take corrective action as necessary.
  7. Ensures departmental compliance.
  8. In charge of one of the following areas or future areas within the materials organization: materials control, production control, production planning, etc.

  1. Knowledge of overall plant operations (receiving, warehouse, and stockrooms), purchasing, quality control, production.
