Job Description
- Take the lead role with regard to any need for Tech Ops/Engineering interface. Ensuring close interaction with the associated service team and accurate and timely submission of any (RFA) Request for Assistance.
- Interprets general operational/maintenance requirements, independently provides technical consultation to customers, Service Center, Product Support, Field Service Representatives (FSR), Entry Into Service (EIS), Engineering, other internal departments, and FlightSafety to affect suitable resolutions to various operational conditions.
- Conducts in-depth system review to develop troubleshooting plans specific to operator/aircraft needs. Directs and guides customers, Service Center, FSR, and EIS Reps on plan implementation and follow-through to Return To Service (RTS).
- Directs the exchange of technical data between Gulfstream Engineering and Gulfstream operators, FSR, and Fixed Base Operations necessary to provide temporary or permanent repair drawings for damaged in-service aircraft in the field.
- Review, investigate, and respond as required. to correspondence received from Gulfstream operators, and other agencies including but not limited to, coordinating the transfer of aircraft components for analysis, providing technical support for that analysis, and providing a course of action based on the results of the analysis.
- Determine priorities for handling situations submitted to Technical Operations for action, depending on safety of flight, urgency of the situation, and company policy.
- Engage in CIO, Organizational, EIP, and Contact Center goals to achieve stated objectives. Through the use of Lean methodology, identify & implement improvements to internal processes.
- Formal training (Flight Safety International maintenance training or equivalent) on one or more of the Gulfstream model aircraft is highly desirable.
- Must be able to understand and comprehend technical data in the form of manuals, specifications, drawings, fault isolation schematics and publications.
- A good understanding of Windows computer applications including the use of standard computer word and data processing programs (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite) and Corridor is required.
- Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, technical manuals systems, and aircraft maintenance records system.
- Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred.
