About the Role
-
The engineer selected for this role will work with about 21 different Gulfstream aircraft models at any given time. Ideal candidate will have experience in post-production liaison or stress, MRB, or concession stress engineering. Daily activities will include liaison duties and stress analysis in support of structural repair, rework, and alteration. Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14CFR-Chapter 1, Part 25) and other certification related activities for FAA and foreign aviation airworthiness will be actively utilized. This position will also utilize 14CFR 145 repair station activities and aircraft repair as performed per 14CFR43 or UKCAA/EASA familiarity .
Preferred Skills:

Experience creating 2D repair drawings

Familiarity with, and prior usage and application of, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis techniques and software.

Skill in the development and analysis of composite repairs

Prior Experience with Gulfstream aircraft

FAA DER or ODA unit member for 14CFR25 related aircraft structures

Experience with Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.
