Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree In Business management or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.significant experience in project management. Other certificate in project manage and or Princess Trust advanced certificate.

Position Purpose:

Under minimal supervision, manage and perform activities related to the identification, definition, scoping, prioritization and completion of projects designed to improve efficiency by eliminating waste and creating value for our customers. This role requires regular presentations to all levels of Gulfstream management on the development and execution of continuous improvement projects.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Liaison with appropriate management and team members to establish projects that align with the Continuous Improvement Objectives and vision of the department. Assist in the assignment of current and future resources on projects that bring the greatest benefit to the business unit and organization. Facilitate value proposition activities for project and action definition.
  2. Develop, coach and mentor problem solving skills. Create problem solvers within the organization. Engage every employee in the value stream to sustain and improve the flow of information and material. Establish methods that identify and/or track root causes and provide corrective action.
  3. Support global distribution centers. Identify problems within current processes and implement corrective action. Assist Materials Management in the support of a Distribution Requirements/Resource Planning strategy to determine/satisfy demands for inventory at global distribution centers by optimizing current and future enterprise resource planning applications.
  4. Responsible for facilitating the development and execution of the functional areas continuous improvement objectives in support of the business unit operational goals. Assist management to develop and sustain a continuous improvement culture in which employees are empowered to improve the processes they support.
  5. Assist management in planning and coordinating activities related to Lean implementation to all levels of employees. To include training, Kaizen events, Your Ideas at Work events, Lean promotional events, etc.
  6. Work with functional departments, Finance and other members of the organization in assessing, tracking and reporting the progress and financial benefit of continuous improvement projects.
  7. Coordinate and quantify improvement efforts with the department staff and other influencing departments.

Additional Functions:
  1. Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful attainment of process/productivity improvement and administrative efficiency. Use DMAIC methodology and Lean tools to achieve process improvements. .
  2. Actively work to strengthen relationships between/within the organization(s) to promote communication and best practices. .
  3. Develop and provide metrics for project status and completion. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Certified Lean Specialist or Six Sigma Green Belt qualified preferred.
  2. Proven project management skills with working knowledge of the principles of analytical problem solving techniques.
  3. Experience in Cognos reporting, Microsoft Office suite, enterprise planning tools, iGrafx and/or Visio preferred.
  4. Experience developing standard operating procedures or documenting work instructions preferred.
  5. Demonstrated experience in implementing problem solving skills or change initiatives at an enterprise level.
  6. Demonstrated experience of leading project teams of subject matter experts through projects and implementing change.
