Quality Engineer I [Farnborough, UK]

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a related curriculum preferred. Entry level position.

Position Purpose:

Under moderate supervision, having been adequately trained, perform all tasks in area of responsibility in a timely and efficient manner. Support aircraft inspection/quality/certification system requirements to ensure all aspects of the quality system requirements are compliant to in-service limitations for Repair Station activities.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Ensure compliance to all regulatory and Quality System Requirements to include Part 145, Part M, Part 21 and ISO .
2. Provide technical guidance and direction to supported organizations and/or administrative personnel. .
3. Manage entry of data contained within the electronic systems to assure accurate status reporting of supplier surveys, product/process audits, aircraft status or quality system performance.
4. Validate compliance of required. corrective action implementation for timeliness and effectiveness.
5. Develop and maintain specific work instructions for functions performed within the group.
6. Monitor and report on the inspection and quality system performance.

Additional Functions:

1. Ensure Quality policies are practiced. Make recommendations and implement procedures to improve Quality. .
2. Work with other departments as needed to meet quality compliance of processes. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

1. Preferred knowledge of Quality Management Control System requirements.
2. Computer literate; capable of working within the various software applications utilized throughout the corporation.
3. Preferred knowledge of Quality Systems, Quality Control, Blueprints, Quality Documentation and applicable documentation.
4. Preferred specific experience working with Quality Systems/Quality Control.
