- Previous Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) management.

- Previous management experience preferred.
- Working knowledge with MS Access.
- Working knowledge with MS Excel.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, finance required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 2 years experience in Trade Compliance. 1 year experience in Project Management or a combination of related experience.

Position Purpose:

Under specific direction, develop, implement and manage Trade Compliance projects within the scope of assigned responsibility, and provide subject matter expertise concerning application of trade compliance laws and regulations, corporate policies and procedures.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Manage assigned projects within scope, cost and schedule using available project management tools and systems.
  2. Support Trade Compliance team with project management, issue resolution and solution development.
  3. Develop and maintain current expertise in trade compliance laws and regulations.
  4. Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to analyze existing trade compliance processes and identify improvement opportunities in both manual and automated systems.
  5. Review corporate processes to ensure they are in compliance with trade laws and regulations, and support efforts to bring corporate process in line with legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
  6. Analyze hardware, software, and technology to ensure accurate trade classifications.
  7. Identify areas of compliance risk, and develop risk assessments and compliance plans. .
  8. Conduct trade compliance training, and support development of new training materials and programs.
  9. Participate in audits and factual investigations concerning export/import compliance matters.

Additional Functions:
  1. Additional functions will be dictated by the specific responsibilities of the position. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined matrix team environment.
  2. Ability to effectively learn and operate within Gulfstream enterprise systems, web-based applications and 3rd party productivity software, including, but not limited to: SAP, GTS, CAS, Corridor, Oracle, Sales Logix, Livelink, P-DocM, Cognos, SmarTeam, Visual Compliance, CMP.Net , Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Projects, IPC, Adobe suite.
  3. Working knowledge of all relevant US Trade regulations such as Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and Customs regulations.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Applicant must be a US Citizen, or Green Card holder.
  6. Applicant must be organized and possess critical thinking skill.
