DUTIES: Be responsible for Final Phase Completions as a design engineer. Design and draft new and derivative versions of cabin systems as part of outfitting new aircraft. Design installations meeting the electrical load requirements and FAA certification guidelines of the entire interior installation. Design work that includes the generation of the aircraft cabin software using Aircraft Editor and AVDS Client and the generation of electrical installation drawings using AutoCAD, Capital Harness XC, and SmarTeam while employing design standards consistent with company standards and accepted design methods. Liaison with hangar and shop teams on engineering issues. Execute design assignments under the direction of a Lead engineer or Group Head to meet the manufacturing schedule. Perform engineering work related to the investigation and the solution of technical problems associated with research, design, development, service, and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft. Solve typical engineering problems within assigned discipline. Provide technical assistance to engineering staff and contribute to completion of project milestones. Be responsible for a complex engineering assignment or a full project of lesser complexity. Follow established schedules while developing plans for engineering assignments. Obtain appropriate level of supervisor approvals for work accuracy and adequacy. Proficiently apply company/organization policies and procedures. Actively work to improve daily processes and ensure all work meets customer requirements. Maintain a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field required. Eighteen months of engineering experience with wire harness systems required, including any experience with: electrical engineering prints and their interpretation; working and supporting a multi-discipline team of engineers, technicians, and certification personnel; AutoCAD, CATIA V5, and Capital Harness (Logic and XC); the Aircraft Editor software tool to develop and troubleshoot aircraft Cabin Management Software; and with the AVDS Client software tool to develop and troubleshoot aircraft Audio/Video systems.
Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.

- With supervision/mentorship, can coordinate the activities for lower level engineering staff.
