About the Position

Join Gulfstream's Flight Dynamics and Control Law team for a Summer 2027 associate internship. The Control Law group develops and validates the flight control laws that govern aircraft handling qualities, stability augmentation, autopilot functions, envelope protection systems, and fly-by-wire aircraft operation.

Interns will work alongside experienced flight controls engineers supporting the development, analysis, and testing of advanced aircraft control systems. Assignments may include mathematical modeling, simulation development, control law analysis, data analysis, flight test support activities, and verification of flight control system requirements.

Projects may involve the use of engineering tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and aircraft simulation environments to evaluate aircraft performance and handling characteristics. Interns will gain exposure to the complete flight controls development process from concept development through laboratory testing and flight test validation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment
