Are you a procurement professional who enjoys working with suppliers, solving delivery challenges, and keeping complex operations moving?

As a Corporate Aerospace Buyer, you will help ensure the right aerospace parts, materials, and services are available when Gulfstream teams need them. You will manage purchase orders, coordinate supplier commitments, negotiate pricing and delivery schedules, and address issues that could affect production or operations.

Your work may support commodities such as engines, avionics, flight controls, composites, metallics, data systems, landing gear, interiors, cabin equipment, hardware, and consumable materials.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain reliable sources for aerospace parts, materials, and services
• Request supplier quotations and evaluate bids based on price, quality, delivery, and business requirements
• Prepare and issue purchase orders with appropriate terms and conditions
• Negotiate pricing, quantities, delivery schedules, and commercial terms within established guidelines
• Coordinate supplier deliveries with production schedules and internal customer demand
• Monitor supplier performance in quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness
• Resolve supplier issues that could affect material availability or operational performance
• Support long-term purchasing agreements, including master orders and blanket purchase agreements
• Maintain accurate procurement records and support audit and reporting requirements
• Ensure procurement activities follow internal policies and applicable aerospace requirements, including AS9100 and ITAR
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other internal teams
• Assist with planning or reviewing the work of Procurement Specialists when appropriate
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 2 years of procurement, supply chain, or related experience
• A master’s degree may offset 2 years of experience
• Experience requesting supplier quotations, evaluating bids, issuing purchase orders, and managing supplier performance
• Ability to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms
• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business administration or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 2 years Procurement, supply chain or related experience. Master's Degree may offset 2 years of experience.

Position Purpose:

Under limited supervision, executes procurement activities for aerospace parts, materials, and services. Ensures compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while supporting operational efficiency and supplier performance.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Develops sources of supply and obtains information from suppliers concerning product and/or service specifications, price, delivery dates, etc. and ensures all applicable data is current at supplier .
2. Solicits quotes, conducts bid evaluations, evaluates costs, negotiates optimum delivery schedules and ensures the best combination of price, quantity discount, product quality, standard terms and conditions, and where appropriate, supports the establishment of long-term agreements such as Master Orders and Blanket Purchase Agreements .
3. Prepares definitive purchase orders, including terms and conditions, makes award, administers contracts with suppliers within budgetary limitations, and ensures schedules are met .
4. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and cost .
5. Ensure procurement activities comply with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace standards .
6. Collaborate with internal departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance .
7. Maintain accurate procurement records and support audits and reporting requirements .
8. Assists in planning and reviewing the work of Procurement Spec, where appropriate.
